I really enjoy journalist photography. I think that it is really admirable to capture the current state of things in a few photographs to give the public a visual to truly relate a news story to reality. These are photos taken by Moises Saman for the New York Times of Machu Picchu; they capture the pulchritude of the ruins, and the harmony with the vast landscape. I think these photos are simply beautiful.
These images are some of street artist Kurt Wenner's work. Kurt Wenner is a sidewalk artist who does amazing 3-D work with a real sense of perspective and visuals to make them "fit into the surroundings." Wenner focuses particularly on the fantasical in his work, especially the idea of demons in hell and the underworld, like those in Dante's Inferno.
